moving to a new county and home I agree, with Samantha, Esperanza never had a chance to mourn her father's death. First he was killed, their home burns and then they must move to another country and she has to leave her grandma behind. I am sure her heart aches for her father.

moving to a new county and home What I think she is missing is her home and her grandmother who stayed behind because she had a sprained anle from when thier house had burnt down and had to let it heal. She started to work in the sheds evne though she wasn't old enough. She was saving up her money to bring back her grandmother some how. Miguel got hired as a mechanic but then soon got replaced by people who where coming in from Oaklahoma.The next day Esperanza yelled at him for not speaking up about it to his boss.The next morning Esperanza went to get her mother from the hospital and when they came back everyone was happy that she was home again when they all went to bed Esperanza was going to show her mother how much she had saved up but someone had taken it.Miguel had taken it but didnt tell Esperanza about it one day Alfonso came to get Eseranza and take her to Los Angeles. What she didnt know was that Miguel had gone back to Mexico to get her grandmother and everyone was hapy to meet her and were glad to have her homeand everyone lived happy for ever
